Setting Up A New Project

The topic of my Project would be:

AIRPORTS

ICT Experience

I created my first blog five years ago, after taking the first part of this course.

Throughout the years, I have been working in different schools, including secondary schools and EOI, which means that every year I have to adapt to many different situations.

I remember posting some pictures, videos and stories made by my primary school students on my blog. They really enjoyed it.

I have also used a mooddle in EOI, which is really useful for students, especially for those who cannot attend classes regularly. It is a tool to keep in touch with both the teacher and classmates and what we do in class. They can also upload their tasks.

In secondary schools, I have been working with the publishers' websites both in the computers room and at students homes, even though some students do not have a computer at home.

Today, I am using an IWB, which has recently replaced the traditional blackboard in our language room.

So far, I have realized that students get more motivated when posting their tasks on a blog or moodle, rather than on the school wall, since they can share it with their friends and families. In addition, they can work individually (listenings, for example) or in groups (writing) and see their own progress.

I hope to learn new techniques that I can carry out in class to improve their oral skills. I am also new on Twitter and still have not seen its usefulness.
